This UV torch is amazingly powerful for its size. It would be ideal for someone just starting with Fluorescence as a hobby. Also great for scientifically inquisitive children. It is, of course, filtered (ZWB2). When you are out searching for fluorescent minerals it has a range of a few metres depending on how fluorescent the minerals are.
It does not need batteries! It has a built-in rechargeable 18650 battery, and comes with a USB cable for charging from any USB port. It also has a battery level meter so you know when to charge it.
