This UV torch is amazingly powerful for its size. It is ideal for someone just starting with Fluorescence as a hobby. Also great for scientifically inquisitive children. It is, of course, filtered. When you are out searching for fluorescent minerals it has a range of a couple of metres depending on how fluorescent the minerals are.
It does not need batteries. It has a built-in rechargeable 18650 battery, and comes with a USB cable for charging the same way as you charge your phone. It also has a battery level meter so you know when it needs charging.
