Prolonged exposure to UV light can be dangerous. This applies to Short and Mid Wave UV more than to Long Wave. If you are using SW or MW for an extended period you should protect eyes and skin. Our UV-blocking glasses block greater than 99% of UV. If you wear ordinary glasses with plastic lenses, they will block UV, but some can sneak in from the sides.
