People (including me) have been successfully using this torch in the field for years.
It takes one 18650 battery. The FL2 Kit gives you the FL2 filtered torch, two protected 18650 batteries, a 2-slot intelligent charger and a basic plastic carry case. When you are out searching for fluorescent minerals it has a range of up to 5 metres depending on how fluorescent the minerals are. And with my compliments you get 6 small but bright long wave specimens including a little opal chip from Lightning Ridge in NSW.
